A good glass curtain wall usually needs to be tested for the “four-property test” of the glass curtain wall. The four key performances of the glass curtain wall system are tested to ensure its safety, durability and functionality. These four tests mainly include:
1. Air tightness test
Purpose: To test the ability of the curtain wall to prevent air infiltration when it is closed, to ensure that the indoor and outdoor air exchange is controllable, and to improve energy saving.
Method: To simulate wind pressure through pressurized equipment and measure whether the air leakage of the curtain wall meets the specifications.
2. Water tightness test (Water Tightness)
Purpose: To verify the waterproof performance of the curtain wall under the simultaneous action of wind and rain to prevent rainwater from penetrating into the room.
Method: Use a spray device to simulate rainfall, combined with a pressurized test, to observe whether there is leakage.
